Sydney Outrigger Canoe Club Inc. is a well established, non-profit organization based in Balmoral beach with over 40 members.  We are reliant on funds to purchase racing canoes and equipment by membership fees, fundraising and sponsorship.  The club holds two major regattas during the racing season being a grand prix regatta for 20 New South Wales Zone clubs (each club with approx 40-80 paddlers - with over 800 paddlers attending these events) as well as holding a Corporate Day for Corporations who enter their employees for “a team building day of fun”.

To make these days successful the club relies on donations of cash and prizes to award the teams who placed in the races – an opportunity to promote your company!

For any corporations interested in supporting the club, there are fantastic opportunities available that make sponsorship mutually beneficial.  Our paddlers train in Sydney Harbour six times a week and also compete in races all over the east coast of Australia which will give your business exceptional exposure.  Each canoe is approximately 15 metres long and Sydney Outrigger Canoe club currently owns four canoes.  Imagine your company’s name on a canoe just like on the photo below and the attention and exposure it will receive.

Sydney Outrigger paddlers had a very successful 2006 racing season.  Our men’s team, both in master and open divisions placed Gold and Silver in Zone races, State Sprints and Marathons and also Silver and Bronze at Hamilton Island.  Our women placed Bronze at Zone and State Titles marathon events. Plenty of opportunity for our sponsors to receive recognition, the club has a solid membership with a good intake for our 2006 novice program.
